Bulk SMS

Bulk SMS and DLT registration

Bulk SMS is sending one text message to many mobile numbers at once from a panel or API. See our bulk SMS service.

Promotional SMS markets something and respects DND choices. Transactional SMS confirms a customer's action. OTP SMS carries a one-time code. Each has its own sender ID type and templates.

DLT is the system Indian telecom operators use to register businesses, sender IDs and message templates. Commercial SMS without it is blocked. Read our DLT registration guide.

The sender ID, or header, is the short name shown as the sender on the recipient's phone. It is registered and approved before use.

DND stands for Do Not Disturb. It is a national register of numbers that have blocked promotional messages.

Yes. Regional-language SMS is supported and sent as Unicode, which fits fewer characters per message.

A standard SMS holds 160 characters. A Unicode SMS, used for many Indian languages, holds 70. Longer messages are split into parts.

Yes. Our API sends OTPs, order updates and alerts automatically.

WhatsApp

WhatsApp marketing and API

Sending the same or a personalised WhatsApp message to many opted-in customers through the WhatsApp Business API. See WhatsApp marketing.

It is the version of WhatsApp built for businesses that need to message at scale and connect to software. See the WhatsApp API service.

Yes. Customers should agree to receive WhatsApp messages from you.

Pre-approved messages with fixed text and placeholders. Business-started conversations need an approved template.

Marketing promotes, utility updates a customer about something they did, and authentication delivers one-time codes. Each uses its own templates.

Yes. Messages can include images, video, audio and documents, plus buttons.

They suit different jobs. WhatsApp is rich and conversational. SMS reaches every phone without internet. Most businesses use both.

RCS

RCS messaging

RCS (Rich Communication Services) is a richer kind of text message with images, carousels and buttons, shown in the default messaging app. See RCS messaging.

Many Android phones support it through the default messaging app. Support elsewhere depends on the phone and operator. We check coverage for your audience.

We can set up an SMS fallback so the customer still receives the message as a text.

No. RCS messages appear in the phone's default messaging app.

Yes. Promotional RCS carries offers and transactional RCS carries updates.

Voice, IVR and email

Voice calls, IVR, missed calls and email

A recorded message delivered to many phone numbers at once, with key-press replies. See bulk voice calls.

An automated phone menu that answers calls and routes them. See our IVR service.

Customers give a free missed call to a number, and your system follows up by SMS or callback. See missed call service.

Promotional email markets and goes to subscribers who agreed. Transactional email confirms an action such as an order or password reset.

Use a permission-based list, authenticate your domain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, keep your list clean and write honest subject lines.

Pricing

Pricing and plans
