Transactional RCS

Transactional RCS: status updates that look and work better

Transactional RCS delivers the updates your customers expect, such as an order status, a booking confirmation or a payment receipt, as a clear card with a progress picture, details and buttons like Track order or Reschedule. SMSNiti registers your verified sender, designs the cards and connects them to your system, with an SMS fallback for phones that do not support RCS.

Customers can tap a quick reply instead of typing, which cuts support calls.

Overview

What is transactional RCS?

Transactional RCS is the RCS version of a service message. Rather than a line of text, the customer receives a card that shows the order, the status, the date and the next step, with buttons they can tap. It is sent automatically by your system when something happens.

Short answer: Transactional RCS sends order, payment, booking and delivery updates as rich cards with buttons and quick replies in the default messaging app on supported phones. It carries information, not promotion.

Better than a text with a link

A transactional SMS says "Your order is out for delivery. Track here: link". An RCS card can show the status, an estimated time and a Track order button, all in one tidy message, and offer "Reschedule" as a quick reply.

Always with a fallback

Because RCS works on supported phones, we plan an SMS fallback so important updates reach every customer.
